Candidacy

The New Teeth Now procedure requires medical clearance and access to a patient’s medical history. Below are examples of conditions that may disqualify a candidate from moving forward with a dental implant procedure.

Medications That Disqualify or Delay Candidacy

If you have ever taken any of the medications listed below, you are not a candidate for the New Teeth Now procedure:

  • Pamidronate (Aredia®)
  • Zolendronate (Zometa®)
  • Zolendronate (Reclast®)
  • Denosumab (XGEVA®)

You are not a candidate for New Teeth Now, as long as you are currently taking or have recently taken any of the following:

  • Bevacizumab (Avastin®)
  • Sunitnib (Sutent®)
  • Sorafenib (Nexavar®)

  • Denosumab (Prolia®)

Additional Considerations

There are other circumstances that can delay or disqualify your candidacy. None of the factors below automatically disqualify you as a dental implant candidate, but may impact your procedure location, date, or success rate.

You May Still Qualify

Your eligibility for dental implants should be determined by a board-certified oral surgeon. Do not hesitate to pursue other opinions from different surgeons. We find that many of our patients who qualify for New Teeth Now have been told by other surgeons that they are ineligible for implants or require bone grafting procedure due to bone loss in the jaw. If you’ve been turned away by an oral surgeon in the past, you may still qualify for New Teeth Now.
